thumbs up

SAR's HERE!! in case you didn't recognize her in that scary mask! we went down to punta gorda and picked her up! there was a big peace corps gathering there last weekend. YEAH!! (eric, you made the blog!)

so hitch hiking has become our main source of income savings. yesterday alone we saved $32 dollars between the 3 of us, and this was our best ride.

so this is it. i know what you are thinking. "but it cleans up real nice" we will post more pictures of the inside... we love it. it's so white trash/carribean. we burn our trash out back. who would have thought.

we went to the zoo! it was a hit. all the animals are native to belize and none of them have been taken out of the wild. these two pictured were the wildest animals in the whole place. blog ha ha!!

so we got a couple new additions besides sar. we heard that cats keep out rats...so here he is. rueben.

and here is ed. no todd is not a dog person. so ed wandered to our house last week looking starved and sickly. we didn't intend to get a dog, but he just sort of came to us. we gave him a bath and dewormed him and just as we were taking a liking to him and wanting to keep him forever, a small boy knocked on our door and took him right out of my lap while i swung on the hammock. so now we are in the process of buying ed back. oh ed.

last but not least...brian! thanks so much for coming down to visit! it was a pleasure!
and check sar's blog....www.saragilmore.blogspot.com
ps sorry some of the pictures are sideways. i can't flip them on this computer, and i didn't realize it til after the post. o well.

Okay your trying to trick me right??? That's not Brian, although it totally LOOKS like Brian.....But it's Todd-it has to be.....

Wow! You are not welcome to come home for christmas if you openly admit to liking cats and dogs! Todd, were you seriously bathing a dog? If so you have taken a turn for the worse. Tyler

Well I have a couple preguntas, or maybe just statements. First of all I love that in your picture of your cat (we'll get to that later) there is a flipping bug the size of your cats head, that you fail to mention. Is this a "normal" sized bug for Belize, if so, I might not come to visit. Second, I love how you are cataring to this dog, he even has his little paw hands hanging on to the side of his personal hottub. And lastly, but certainly not least, dogs.... cats... what the hell happened to you two?

That's sure a SAUVE puppy you have there. Now you can make up for the love you didn't give to guss.

I thought you were preparing dinner, not bathing an animal. Reno and Star will love to hear that your animal lovers now.

Love the facial hair Todd--especially the yummy mustache curling into your mouth!

You may have to start sharing your deworming and other 3rd world remedies with us, since the boys bring home letters from the school about lice or scabies outbreaks.

That's great that Sara got to go down for a visit, hope your having a good time!

Never thought I'd see the day a Murdock had a cat or a dog...way to shed stereotypes. The new pets will be good company. Cats can help with rodents and even sometimes bugs. Your new place looks great...I love the stilts. Post picts of the inside. I'm glad Sara and Brian got to visit.
(Isn't that beard hot?) We missed you in Moab...

As soon as Ed saves Rubin's life, hes going to kill him! Now all you need is a little rubber skweeky mouse and you family would be complete.

Good times

Oh my gosh!! I just zoomed in the bug in the cat picture. Nevermind about the cat keeping bugs out...with bugs like that, you better protect the cat!

i just want to go on the record, and publicly apologize to the entire Murdock family. I am the idiot who showed up to Ash and Todd's Belize farewell party with..... my DOG. Just another bad decision on my part, and I am sorry. ;-)

P.S.
Todd, is Sara sleeping in the same bed as you and Ashli? She's been known to do so.

Welcome to the dark side. Bring them back for Christmas and we'll have a pet pajama party! We'll bake homemade doggie treats, perform pet plays, and have Todd preside over marriage ceremonies for our little darlings!

I am really jealous of you house...I'm not kidding...and I can accept the dog thing...but the cat? You know what comes next after dogs and cats don't you...you don't even want to think about it. It'll be nice to see you guys over christmas...

For the record- i havent slept in the same bed as ash and todd YET. I have taken a nap on it with ruben though. I acutally woke up with ruben resting his little head on my elbow. I felt close to him. and although i am allergic to both rubin and ed, there seems to be enough ventilation and enough no carpet in their house, that i havent felt the effects of their dander.
love, sara

Whats up Belizeans? Alina made me sign up so I could make comments on everyones blog. I emailed Todd a bunch today and got the run down on life in the tropics. You should take it as a real compliment that people thought you looked like me with your beard. Hope all is well down there on the narrow neck of land.Peace Out and all that

Espero que el gato pueda comer una sandía por entero! Really good pictures. I'm glad you're not living with that mean lady anymore, but I'm alarmed by the amount of things that require deworming down there.

Fun that Sara is there. Gosh, I haven't seen her in forever!! Looks like you guys are having lots of fun! Your blog is like a little dose of survivor. Seriously, you should consider doing that show after this. :)

Ash and todd- I made it to flores last night! i decided to go in a shuttle for 15$ us. it sounded easier than the reg bus. I was so sad "lo ciento" to watch you drive away! I feel good to be here, but i miss you as usual. You guys are the best host parents i could imagine!. Seerus
These two boys were going to tikal at 3 am this morning so i went with them. It was so cool. I want to go again so if you guys can get here within a few weeks.. The total cost was 20$ us for the shuttle both ways, and a ticket into the park. My hotel is 35 Q which is equal to 4.50$ us a night. Love you guys so much!
