a quick tour

well, so not much different from the pictures. but maybe that will give a better idea of the set up. one great thing about living in belize is that people bring things to sale to you right to your door..tortillas, icecream, water, or you can just send kids on errands. it's cool. something less cool is that someone didn't pay past dues on the electricity so we haven't had any for a while. but it's been kind of nice in someways. and the water goes out every night. and we have fleas. and mice on the counters. and big flying beatles that are creepy. and the cat we got for the rat got caught in the rat trap and was stuck to the floor in sticky rat trap crap. other than that the house is great.

haha. Robert just asked if you were with a caveman in the picture. (don't worry todd, he's looking from far away-- he then took a closer look and finds you look very distinguished)
oh boy.

I laughed so hard at you 'rat trap crap" bit. sorry about the yucky things-- I actually think your house looks way fun to live in.

love you

I think your video is the pefect fit to serve as the footage for the "Gringo in Belize" music video. I really wanted to see Todd trying to pull a kitty of of the sticky rat pad. Todd thanks for the idea, "A Grand County Almanac" by Brian MUIRdock will be a big hit. I will cut you a deal for the idea.

Well, so much for that darn cat! My, my...I don't know if I could do what you are doing! I am too big of a baby!

nice video! I was very pleased to see a glimpse of your shower! I was curious. Next time you'll have to do some commentary as you walk about and tell us a bit about what we're seeing. Todd didn't look to amused, I thought he might do a Reno/Johnny Cash move. It's nice that you can put a nail in anywhere to hang things from! And who needs windows, when you can peep through the cracks in your walls! (hopefully you don't have anyone peeping in). Do you trust all the food that is being sold at your door? You must have innards of steel.

Ahsli, sounds like you should write a Dr. Suess style kids book titled "The Cat in the Rat Trap Crap". I'm thinking newberry award winner!

ok. I take it back. Even though we had an apartment that was a roach infested breeding habitat, I don't think I could handle mice on the counter. Take a picture of the beetles! I still think your house is pretty cool.

Look at you living in a distant land, living with creatures, and helping people ... so proud of you and so glad you are there and not me!

Love you

Yes, I wish we could have had some Ashlie commentary when touring your humble abode. Looks like a lot of fun. I do love the hammocks, and the caveman you live with! :) Love ya Todd. We must hear all of your great cat, rat, trap stories when you come for Christmas!!

Love the house footage. Sedona thinks you should name one of your pet mice "Gus Gus" like the one on Cinderella. She would even lend you mini clothes for them. I'm freaked out by the giant flying beetles. Maybe you should wear your bike helmets at home for beetle protection.
Miss you!

ash i love the colors in your apartment. soo much. do you ever sleep all night in the hammocks? is it comfortable? todd looks like he really belongs in that hammock. thanks for your confession and i think that is great they are watch what not to wear even in belize. and ash if you only saw what people wear in nyc, anything goes and i love it.
are you guys going to attempt a thanksgiving dinner? we're going over to a friends house (and she went to culinary school) so hopefully she won't mind my rhodes rolls. :)

Sedona thinks your video is like a web cam. So, she thinks you can see her waving at you and doesn't understand why Todd won't wave back from his "hang up". If you wave on your next video she'll be so excited. Hope you had a great thanksgiving. I heard you got to eat turkey!
