Silk Grass Here we come

Today we just got our site assignment, we are headed to a village called Silk Grass, it is just outside of Dangriga, the district town of Stann Creek, it is just off the southern highway, right in the middle of the country. I will be working with Mayflower Bociwina National Park, and ash will be working with Junior Achievements, which is a youth program working on computer, business and pretty everything a youth program would do. Im not exactly sure what i will be doing, probably just working with the park in every aspect from marketing, signs, bring people in, working with the nonprofit that supports the the park and everything i can imagine, we are really excited, to see the site and meet the people there. It is right on the edge of the maya mtns and it should be pretty nice area, we are also rather close to the jaguar preserve, it is a town of about 1000 people with about 60% mestizo, 20% and garifuna and mayan. So it should be interesting, also ash wants everyones home address, so if you could post your addresses on the comment section, we love you all, we will post pictures when we can

Yipee! Your mom just called and was so excited for you--and so are we! It will be perfect for the both of you. We'll have to start saving up to come down. I'll try and get a calling card online so Brian can call tomorrow. He's on the San Juan right now and won't be off until late tonite. I have a little package, but I'm not sure if I should mail it now, or when you get settled? I'll have to do some research on where you'll be.

We'll talk to you soon.

yes, Brigham city. meth capitol of utah if you must know. (true) I guess I didn't tell you since you didn't know-- but I am teaching at Box Elder High, and Rob is teaching the 1010 class at USU-- and we are apt. managers at a recently non-retirement community. Home of none other than Peeech Daze. Now that I think of it, that sounds about as normal as Jaguar preserve. All's well that ends.

You've probably already seen this website:

Brian and I were looking at it and were excited that you'll be working with Guzman and Peck, the wardens of the park. Guzman apparently found an enormous arrowhead that he's proudly displaying. And Peck is just Peck--that crazy kid.

Looks like an amazing place!
